Post '03 Oddessy warm engine idle surge

Help - Honda service has looked at the 2003 van twice - but has been unable to resolve problem for good. When warm, engine idle creeps up, at times to 2800 RPM! I think the EGR valve was cleaned/replaced. Problem has cut 2 out of state trips short.

Has anyone heard of the cruise control (CC) cable causing a high idle problem? Today, had to stop car at 3000 RPM idle in city traffic - appeared CC cable was the cause. a dab of motor oil helped for about 5 minutes.

Always a warm weather issue

Thanks!

if the cable is pulled or streched it can cause a high idle, check to make sure at the front left where the cable is attached if it's nice and secure with with no movement left t o right

oroblam - auto cruise cable is now tight. Honda-Service's position is that the throttle body may need to be replaced.

Does anyone have any comments regarding replacement of TB?-$650 The technician admitted he had no codes to indicate the where in the TB is the problem.
