00' SI CEL
I have a 00' SI and my cel came on. I scanned it and it came up with P0301, P0303, and P0300. There is a misfire in cylinders 1 & 3. I know that it does not have anything to do with the ignition. I was thinking maybe it could be a clogged fuel filter or a falty injector. Does anyone have any ideas on what else it could be?
but a tight valve will cause a random miss fire code since the air fuel is out of range if you have a live data stream on the scanner see what the map voltage is.
a fuel injector could be also but have not seen a fuel filter cause random miss fire yet.

Incorrect. If your plugs/wires/cap/rotor(all ignition parts
) are no good, you'll get a misfire. Try changing any one or all of those before you go tearing into the engine for no good reason.

So I checked the injectors and came to the conclusion that they were fine. I decided to do a compression test. In cylinders 2,3, and 4 the compression is 165 PSI. and in cylinder 1 it is only 30 PSI. I was told it could be a worn lob on the cam shaft or a stuck vavle. What do you think?
