Default ~DANGER!~ Real Tech Questions (Bottom End Assembly)

Okay first off just want to point out that since i have never assembeld a bottom end before, I am not going to attempt this myself. But i would like to clear a few things up with you HT experts before hand.

Also I have a full complete and running GSR motor running in my vehicle right now so my plan is to install whatever missing componets are needed form that block over to my new RS machined 84.5mm Block.

Now here is the pics and some questions.

This is the confusing mess I have ( I bought the block already sleeved but UNUSED but this is all of the junk it came with)

These are the caps that I think i need to use..but as you can see #3 cap is too short if I wanted to use the aftermarket girlde) Even the #3 cap on the GSR girdle is too short so WTF?

This is how i beleive it should look. Which this way it leaves a couple of caps left over which i bleive are all the LS caps.

Here you can see one of my many dilemas: The GAP on #3 cap

So, I guess the big questions that im looking to get answered here is what caps do i use? Can i use that aftermarket Girdle? Should I just stick to the GSR Girdle that it came with or use my own Gridle off my GSR?

PS I know that with whatever caps I end up using I will have to line bore my mains to this block.

Did those caps come off the block you are going to use? If not, the block will need a line bore to realign it to the foreign caps. You have to keep that stuff together. As a matter of fact, I got different bearing clearances using the original caps that came with a d16a6 I built but using a girdle from a different block. When I switched to the original girdle by clearances were acceptable. Its all machined together at the factory and has to be used together.
