Default $20 Skunk 2 Chip

i bought a skunk 2 ecu chip from ebayfor $20. It doesnt look like a real skunk 2 chip. Do you think this would add any power if i installed it? Or is it just BULL?

I thought Skunk2 only offered ECU reprogramming for VTEC motors, that they cost nearly $300, and that an ECU core is required. In light of that, this chip is about as likely to enhance performance as it is to ruin your motor.

There's no way to intelligently answer that question. Without knowing if your current ECU tune is less than optimal, or whether the chip you have now could potentially improve upon it, what are you expecting anyone to say?

If you have the extra money and time to gamble, on don't mind potentially disasterous consequences, why not. If you don't have the extra money, don't like flying blind into possibly expensive situations, and don't think your engine needs a new tune all that bad, then don't do it.
