Default "Massaging" the strut tower?

Exactly how bad is it to "convince" the strut tower walls to move with a BFH? I punched my driver's side tower in a bit when i converted my cable tranny to full hydraulic, and was just curious how bad an idea that was suspension-wise. I know SCC has done it in a couple different project cars they've built and have seen it necessary in some H22 swaps, and figured i'd ask if it was really as bad as it looks like it can be, or isn't such a big deal.

Thoughts?

Should be fine structurally. Cosmetic-wise bang it from the other side to fix the dent .

Well the entire car is a unibody, so just bending in that little bit of metal shouldn't really affect anything since the rest of the area is also supporting the suspension.
