Default "best" valves?

I've heard people say that the type-r valves are very over rated, and that aftermarket is best to go. Well I'm in need on new valves, and I'm getting CTR cams. Before I put the cams in I plan on getting a whole new valvetrain also. Would an ITR valvetrain+valves be sufficient? Will the CTR cams even make power if I bumped the redline to ~8800? 9000? I was told itr valvetrain shouldn't be reved to 9000+ so maybe I should get diff components? Suggestions? corrections? thanks!

i don't believe the ctr cams will generate enough power to 9k. most people go with aftermarket to rev that high. if you're just using the ctr's, you'll be fine with an itr valvetrain.

by the way, only upgrade the intake valves on the head if it's a b16a. the exhuast valves are the same so don't waste your money.
