Tein Basic Tire and car GAP Question.

Tein Basic Tire and car GAP Question.
K so i bought Tein Basics. I got them installed yesterday.
The rears are fine. the car sits right on top of the tire (rear), but the front is where i wasn't smilling too much.
Theirs a GAP. My mechanic told me wait till it settles. the settings for the front are all the way to the bottom already.
This other guy told me he had like a 1.5" of a gap. then months later the car dropped. Now the front sits on top of the tire. and thats what i want. but im just curious if this is true or is there a problem with mines? I did use the search button.
but found Nada.
The rims are 16"
Tires are 205-45-16
Heres a pic of the gap and the whole car how it sits.
