Default Tein Basic coilover adjustment?

i have tein basics on my 95 del sol.
i cannot figure out how to lower the car. the coilovers only have two rings, unlike most which have 3. the top ring i can get to move up, but the bottom ring wont budge at all. to lower the car am i supposed to move both at once? i really dont know how it works.

You need to loosen the bottom rear, thread it down, and then thread the top collar down. This will let the spring drop, and lower the car.

Use the Tein C Spanner, hold both rings and turn them in the opposite way to loosen them. And then thread the bottom ring down to the height you want your car to sit at, then move the top ring to where the bottom is and do the same with the spanners and lock them together. Helps if you have an air compressor to get rid of some of the debris otherwise you wont be able to thread it down. Lube helps aswell!

Spray the crap out of it with pb blaster and let it sit over night. I know you have probably done that but try again.

If you cant get to budge try using a torch and heating it up for a couple mins, then once it cools try again.

worth a shot, just dont heat it too much.

Shouldn't be too expensive. They are deffinetly something that is handy to have around the house. You will find more uses for with the car then you think.

Sounds like you need another spanner wrench, can you borrow 1 from a friend? Or you might have to buy 1. Is there any thread left under the bottom collar?

Buying a "spanner wrench" (quotes used because that's redundant, a spanner is another word that means wrench) or other specialty tool for a spring sleeve is silly. Just use a strap wrench, which anyone working on cars should already have a few of anyway.
