Default TA bushing extractor problem

I just want to get feedback from people that have done this and know what im trying to explain. I read the how to and have finished one bushing with no problems. Was a bitch to get out (figured it would be sense they have been in there for 10 years), but was really easy to get the new one pressed in. This is the right feeling...right? Anyway I moved on to the other side and thats where I ran into my problems...which through my searches seems like I might be the first to have done this. While tightening the extractor I started to notice that it wasnt going straight anymore. So after loosening the extractor and removing it from the trailing arm (which wasnt easy). I noticed that the bushing wasnt coming out straight and that I had pulled the lower portion of the trailing arm out (which is why it was a pain to get the extractor off of the trailing arm). I also noticed that the extractor now had a slight bend outward on the finger that the up arrow points to. Im not worried that the tool is ruined, but im thiniking that my trailing arm is now trash. So I guess my questions are is my tool ruined? Is my trailing arm trash? Has this happened to anyone else?

Happened to me. I ended up replacing the trailing arm and finished up by using a press.
