Are you trying to seperate the lower arm ball joint from the knuckle? Try one of these:

It's a ball joint or tie-rod lifter. I used it just last Weds. as a matter of fact to split all 3 ball joints to the knuckle. Maybe a half hour per a side if that. Cake. Never tried this but you can...

i take the nut on bottom off all the way and put it back on just a few threads, turn knuckle all the way and hit LOWER CONTROL ARM only with a hammer, the impact will pop it loose, hitting up on ball joint will just damage the ball joint, usually use a pretty large hammer like a 3 pound sledge. hope this helps
bought one o' dem $9 dollar wakker doodles(forked), worked BUT F_UPED THE DERN CUP. Now i have to loosen the spring clip_easy- i broke that 2 par 4 the course.
Problem now is that bearing wont lose old rotor. everything(all bolts)loose, on ground, got mad whacked it one or several good ones with a hand sledge(back side)no love
