Default Koni shock ? the diff.....

I have a eg hatch that im setting up for track and was curios on if there was really that big of a diff between the koni sport shocks and the koni race shocks???

i will be running gc sleeves with the extended top hats...

let me know what u guys think!

i was told the koni race is a inch shorter and can handle much higher spring rates.

Yes there is a difference. Both compression and rebound are higher. They are also 1 inch shorter.

Go to www.koni-na.com and put in your make and model and it will show you the different shocks available for your car and describe the differences of each.

The Koni Race shocks for your car have a 25mm shorter body on the front shocks, and 15mm shorter body on the rear shocks, and of course the higher valving for stiffer spring rates.

This is different from the SP3 "Neuspeed" Koni shocks that simply have a shortened shock piston, which really does nothing but limit droop travel. The Koni Race shocks actually allow more compression travel due to the shortened shock body.
