Default Help diagnosing a problem

I have a 1998 Civic Aerodeck 1.5L 5-door.

Sometimes it will suddenly pull to either the left or the right. It will also intermittently make a light repetitive sound from the front left wheel. No vibrations are felt, the sound from the front wheel is only audible if the window is opened. If I tug on the wheels suspended in the air or not I can not feel any play. The steering is responsive and does not have any gaps/play. I cannot visually see any cause and I am at a bit of a loss.

The springs are in good condition as are the shocks. I have replaced the rubber fittings for the shocks and that changed nothing.

Any thoughts are welcomed!

try swapping wheels from front to rear. probably won't do anything about that noise, but may help towards pinpointing the choppy steering. and it won't cost anything to do

Did you try moving the wheel in all the axis? or just tugged on it? could be a bearing, could be the tie bar or simply the tires...
