If Konis did not work out for you, check out Bilsteins. My buddy in the VW scene says they're great, and I've heard good things in the Honda community as well. It's a different type of damper, which many find superior to Koni, but it's all preference.

Koni specific GC sleeves won't work with other shocks (to my knowledge).

Time for new Konis, or a different set of sleeves to go with the different choice in shocks.

Ship those Koni's back and get them revalved.
Then you'll have the best combo .. Koni/Ground Control!

Check out this thread:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes-54/koni-gc-i-don%92t-get-hype-2790061/

This thread is great, and the OP is really specific in his comparisons and although he ran into some problems with his setup (that was ultimately fixed), his reviews were fair.

The last post on this page contains a pretty good review, as well:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=41074858

Bilsteins are quality shocks, as are Konis, but, from what I've read, since their "sport" shocks different in design (monotube vs. twin-tube), it's mostly up to driver preference. I am, however, basing this on second-hand information, since I've never ridden in a car equipped with Bilsteins.
