Alright now its time to save money haha :D I have till this summer thx you guys! Ill post pic when Ill have this suspension and 9.5 rear 8.5 wide steelies under my love
Slamming an EF on a budget wont really happen. FF coilovers will not get the car low. Period. They will slam just about every other chassis, but not the 88-91 civic/crx. You need to look at Ground Control coilovers with custom spring rates (500 lbs+) for the front, shorter springs and set on the lowest perch of the Koni shock body and either Ground Control or custom upper mounts (top hats) to retain some shock travel. To fit the widths you are speaking of you will need at least a camber kit for the rear to go beyond the negative camber when you slam your car. Possibly even a front kit depending of the offset and how much you want to tuck. With the front kit, you greatly increase the chance of your UCA hitting the shock tower...now you need to cut holes in your towers. This is like black magic for EF's...you cannot just slap on coilovers and dump. Sorry.

All I want is to have my tires inside my fenders and not outside and rim outside fenders. Ill have 8.5 with 195 40 r16 at front and 9.5 with 205 40 r16 at rear so it must be low
will the gc springs get me enough low? and will I be lower with extended top hats instead of oea top hats?

*Edit* If you order from Ground Control they will match THM's price...and your koni's, sleeves and upper mounts will be fully assembled when they are shipped. Do more research!

Stock top hats with Koni/GC and that low? Go ahead... If you are tucking rim that is the quickest way to blow your new dampers. I have yet to see FF coilovers come even close to tucking tire on the rear without messing with the preload, custom short springs, etc... Look how many threads have been made that where people blow their FF's when they lowered the shock and removed any pre load. Like I said before, the FF setup will dump just about any other chassis other than 88-91 civic/crx. Why else would everyone cry "Car not low enough! Just bought FF1's!"

Whats the improvement of top hats?
When you lower your car with sleeves, you loose damper travel. Lowering it enough will cause you to bottom out, damaging your nice shocks. Extended top hats gain back some damper travel (usually 1"), hopefully keeping you from bottoming out, or letting you go lower before bottoming out.
I have seen some people modify the stock top hats for a 2" extension. If you are want to go as low as you say, i would recommend going that route. 1" might not be enough...

Didnt know you lived in Canada...hence the high prices. One thing you must know is that if you choose a softer spring rate in the front, the top hats will cause your UCA's to hit the shock tower (especially if using a front camber kit). I would go with a 500lb rate or higher if you are going to go low with top hats.

for the fronts, just swap out the top hats for the OEM stock ones. this will pull the damper about 1.5 inches higher into the bay, so you need to spin the spring collars down by the same amount (just make sure there is 5mm of preload when you are done, like factory). By doing this, NOTHING is changed in terms of spring rate, preload, or shock travel. And yes, the shock tubes do fit inside the oem top hats. This is the solution if you want to go lower than 1 inch of wheel gap in the front.

I tought about something this night! What about I make my own Top plates and I buy Full form and function type 1 and any short spring? Trying to find something cheaper than 1200$ (koni yellow + gc)
