Front upper ball joints, options?
So I'm looking to replace my ball joints, only because they are original with 240K miles on them. Looking at Baranco Acura, it looks like the ball joints on the upper control arms are not sold separately, but come only pre-installed on the upper control arms. A set of new upper arms would cost about $210 from Baranco.
I know the Skunk2/Omni/Blox upper arms are cheaper, but I do not want to deal with adjustable stuff. I do not need camber adjustment. Are there any other alternatives for getting new balljoints in my upper control arms?

What about this adjustable upper ball joint, 3rd item down, does that look any good? They're pretty expensive, I would probably just go ahead and get new OEM arms instead of those.

you can get direct replacement balljoints from SPC. the same company that sells adjustable balljoints.
some auto parts stores like napa will sell the balljoint separately as well. give them a call.

i've bought quiet a bit of ball joints, a-arms and even the ball joint dust boot covers all from ebay... sometimes u can find pretty good deals for all the joints...
2 front uppers
2 front lowers
2 tie rod end
all in one package for maybe just over 100.

complete PAIR of upper arms, for $64.99 plus $17.99 shipping, cant beat that. They normally go for over $50 each.
I am using these without issues and so have a couple of the racers in the RR/Auto-x forum in their cars.
sometimes the upper balljoint is not replaceable because of the spot weld; rather it can be difficult to do so. The upper ball joints themselves go for about $30 a piece. MOOG Part # K90469

if you think about it there are probably only a handful of bushign/suspension arm manufacturers out there, and i'm sure honda uses more than one supplier for their parts; they dont make all their 'honda' parts in-house. Plus, upper arms and balljoints should be considered consumeables.

hmm consumables maybe... but I'm still on the originals at nearly 240K miles!

Re: (PatrickGSR94)
I just bought and installed Upper control Arms from eBay seller Arm-Can.
My original ones (135k) were noisy and blown.
These ones feel pretty awesome, you can tell the quality difference.
OEM is not always good, you can find OEM quality parts if you look around.
OEM is just so damn expensive sometimes and the quality is the same as the other brands...

hmm alright, thanks for that info.
When I had my steering knuckles out of the car a couple weeks ago, I moved the upper A-arms up and down, and the passenger side arm squeeked REALLY bad, from those bushings in the upper A-arm bolts. Hopefully I can replace them soon.
