Form & Function full coilover feedback
well thinking about purchasing Form & Function full coilovers suspension just for try out something new. Currently have tein basics in my dc4 but want to try out something else. Just want to know how some HT members who have them like it or what problems do they have.
I have them on my DA for about 2 1/2 months now and I really like them. They are a little stiff but I was already expecting that when I made the decision to by full coilovers, plus I run the front at 5 clicks and the rear at 10 clicks for DD. But no problems so far. I also have the ST front and rear sways and I think that paired with the type 2's made a night and day difference. A buddy of mine has a EVO with a little motor work and no suspension and he cant even hang with me when drive up to the top of mount rainer here in WA. By the 4th or 5th turn out of the 5 or 6 miles of turns he has already disapeared from the rear view.
in feb 08 it will be a full year that I haved owned ff2.they r some good coilovers as u said stiff ya but that's good.the peeps from ff are coo.I took out a viper on a turn and a few other cars.but good coilovers.I say buy them asap

"Just to try out something new" is not a particularly good reason to buy a set of coilovers, especially if you've never experienced them before. I'd suggest stepping back and evaluating your needs before you blow a lot of money on something that may not suit them. What do you do with the car and what are you looking to achieve by changing the suspension? What exactly appeals to you about this particular brand over the hundreds of other suspension options available out there?

just put mine on today, and they have my thumbs up. however they dont come with directions... but you should know how to put them on if you buy something like that. my two cents.

why would i step back for? my car set-up is ment for auto-x racing and want to try out a different suspension. I've already gone through 4 different type of suspension set-ups on the same car. I just wanted to try out form and function suspension brand since nobody that i've know of has them since everyone else has the usual suspension brand. All im asking is a feedback about this brand, nothing else.

Maybe to figure out what you're actually trying to achieve here?

Tein Basics on a DC4? That's pretty funny.

They appear to be the same as all of the other generic Taiwanese-manufactured anodized aluminum mono-tube fixed-stroke coilovers out there: K-Sport, D2, Omnipower, AMR, Megan, etc., although Function & Form Autolife won't provide dyno charts or technical information on their dampers (hell, they don't provide instructions either). They'll provide you with plenty of hype, T-shirts, and advertising buzzwords though.

Okay.
They suck and are rather laughable in comparison to other systems that national-level autocross champions are using.
They're great if you like to waste money and time while losing. Oh, and they rock for hard-parking.
When you get serious and want some real help setting your car up to reduce your run times on course, open your mind and ask.
- Targa, who tried getting the point across nicely at first, but has learned that harsh seems to work better.
