Default em1 bbk?

ok so i have a 99 si turbo, gonna be putting down 400-500hp after tune. its going to be my track ***** keep in mind. ive been looking into big brake kits and so far im leaning more to stoptech. st-60 looks to be amazing but as far as i can tell the biggest i have seen with stoptech is the 4 piston st-40 i believe. ive seen some discussions on wilwood really being for the street alot of bad stories. and at this time not trying to hash out brembo money. any and all imput would be great thanks

You could do ITR calipers, with 11.1 rotors.
S2000 calipers, with 11.8 rotors.

Wilwood calipers are aluminum and tend to flex, which is bothersome to some. It's also $700+ for the dynalite kit. Brake pads are also a pain in the *** to get unless you don't mind stocking up on them.

I'll soon be upgrading from my S2000 calipers + 11" Cougar Rotors, to 11.8" RSX rotors and more aggressive pads. Nice to be able to grab pads at autozone if I have to.

PM me if you're interested about OEM brake upgrades, I can give you more details on particular configurations. They depend a lot on your kunckes/wheel size, etc. You can put together a solid, reliable OEM upgrade for $200-$400

Hard to tell, all I know is that people with the Dynalite or other aluminum caliper sets tend to complain about the caliper flex.

My s2000 brakes + 11" rotors stop amazingly on shitty duralast pads. Upgrading this sunday to 11.8" rotors and stoptech autocross pads, I'm sure it will be worlds different.

Also, bear in mind you had better be using a really sticky summer tire like an RE-11 or a KDW to get anything out of such large brakes.

This is of paramount importance. Your tires stop the car, not the brakes. All the brakes do is generate heat.

No, 4 lug. 4x100 has the most flexibility when it comes to OEM brake upgrades. 5-lug really limits you big time.

If it's a 5-lug rotor, you just have the rotors re-drilled to 4x100.

The stock calipers should be fine for that power level. I would just replace your rotors and get some upgraded brake pads. My friend is making over 800whp and he is still running the stock eg calipers with blank rotors and hawk pads.

When my buddy was runing his SFWD integra, he had autozone rotors and hawk HP+ pads.

That is why I said what I said, those or your stock brakes combined with a good rotor/pad should be plently. Out of all the drag guys I know, only one has a BBK. (wilwood) He said he got it becuase he liked how it looked. lol
