hey all,
I just bought a 5 lug DC2R conversion for my EG Sedan, and was wondering, will the EG VTi (sohc vtec) brake booster and master cylinder be ok for a while till i can afford to upgrade to ITR items? Also someone said something about looking for a PCP valve or something similar? to change the braking bias i believe?
Also will this change what my normal offset is? im looking at some OEM accord wheels for the time being which are +50 ive got some 16x6.5s atm but im looking for 17x7s.

i still have my oem eg booster/mc on my 5-lug swap. car stops just fine but im sure pedal feel and braking performance would increase dramatically if i completely the install. as far as safety its perfectly fine.

also ive heard much back and forth on proportioning valves and im still unsure of the correct answer. i think a 40/40 valve is best for the itr 5-lug.

as far as wheels, the 5-lug swap does nothing to offset. thats determined by the wheel. oem itr wheels have +50 offset so you should be perfectly fine with the wheels you have, you can go to a lower offset as well, maybe as low as +35 but becareful of higher offset because you may start to get caliper clearance issues.

"Thanks heaps" is like saying "Thanks a ton" or "Thanks a bunch".

The proper size brake master cylinder for a non ABS Integra brake system would be the 15/16. It doesn't matter if its' ITR, GSR, LS or RS calipers either (they all have the same size piston). I believe the 91 Civic EX sedan had this master cylinder and it's the perfect fit for the EG brake booster and hard lines. The stock small booster will actually be better for braking performance. It will make the pedal more firm which allows the human body to respond better to feedback. Stick with it and simply upgrad the MC to 15/16...

If you have ABS, then you need the 1" MC and larger brake booster to match. You will have to bend & re-flare the brake lines to make it work though...

PS: The proportioning valve is 4040 and not 40/40. This is just a number stamped on the side and doesn't really mean anything...

So shouldnt my car already have the 15/16 cylinder? and if i have the 4040 prop valve that will be ok aswell?
i do intend to track the car in a year or so when its ready
