Does traction bars affect handling?
OK, I already tried in Roadrace/Autocross but got no responce so hopefully you guys can help me. I have been thinking about getting a set of Full-Race traction bars for my EG6 but a buddy of mine says that it would help with wheel hop and traction but it will hurt the handling of the car, is this true?
Im in a DC and I have the Full-race bars and IMO I think it handles like it would without it, if anything how would it affect handling? exspecially the Full-Race kit, if youve read up on how they designed theirs its perfection at its best

They're not reccomended for that type of driving and you wont find many people using them. Obviously theres a good reason, one being "wheel-hop" isnt really a problem on roadcourses/track driving, and those bars are designed for the problem encounted in straight line drag racing.

I have to say that I feel it does help alot. I pulled up the info on full race traction bars & went to work in the shop. I made a set for my dc & it does seem a little stiffer in the front end & I havent had wheel hop since. I didnt do the motor mount just the main traction bars. I may do the motor mount also in the next week or so...
The only effect it will have on handling a reduction in weight and your caster (radius rods) will not flex like with stock rubber bushings. Only good things if you ask me.
