Coilovers vs. Matched shocks/springs
I'm writing an article regarding aftermarket suspension products and wanted HT's opinion.
We're seeing all of these coilovers nowadays that are 32-way adjustable with all the bells and whistles. Some are good and some don't necessarily perform as well as they're marketed to be.
What do you guys prefer in terms of performance. Do you think a well matched shock/spring combo (eibach+koni, h&r+bilstein, mugen ss) is better or worse than say a Tein SS, OmniPower, etc. etc. What are your thoughts on all that adjustability. Do buyers even know what they're doing in terms of proper tuning?
I've been wanting to write about this for a very long time so let's get this discussion going. Any help would be appreciated and you will be referenced for any input that I use. Thank you
