Default Caster problem.

Well a good friend of mine just did an alignment on my R. I have noticed that since I bought the car back in late April that while turning to the right I was getting a slight vibration and I could also hear this problem as well. The car use to have Eibach lowering spring which got swapped out for OEM springs. He asked me right from the start if the car pulled to the left a little bit and of course I said yes. He then told me to look at my Caster which is a none adjustable option for the car where he works.

My question is, has anyone else had this sort of issue and what caused it? Was it a control arm, ball joint, strut, or just something being loose to make it do this?

I apologize ahead of time if this is in a Sticky, but I have been awake since 4pm yesterday and I just got done working the 11pm-7am shift and anyone who has worked this can understand me missing the Sticky.

I know whiteline makes a shim kit to correct caster, look them up.

I have that kit, and wouldn't either use it or recommend it to others. It sits in my shelf as a reminder to research before purchasing in the future...

Caster can be off from:
incorrect UCA (wrong side used), but this increases caster
bent UCA or LCA
shifted subframe
really worn / cracked compensator bushing

Check the bushings, look to see if the subframe has been moved, check if the control arms are visibly bent, go from there.

If nothing else, the subframe can be moved (a little bit) to adjust the caster, but this is a rather time intensive procedure and should be done while on the alignment rack.

i was figuring that it could be just a bent upper or lower, doesnt make sense though the car has never had an accident or hit a bump hard enough to do bend it. The car has been driven hard a few times but nothing that should hurt a stock R

Then check the compensator bushing. Even the newest ITR is still close to 10 years old, and rubber doesn't last forever...
