I was replacing the trailing arm bushing on my civic and finished the driver's side and then moved onto the passenger's and the freaken bolt that connects the LCA and the trailing arm simply would not come off so my dad and I tried and tried and tried anything and everything (even used wd40) but nothing and this is how we left it
and it should look like this

so now I'm gonna take it to a shop so they can heat it up and break it, but now I need to buy that bolt and the bushing around it as well. Anybody know where I can get them besides the dealer ASAP? The guy at autozone wasent much help
Or can I use any other type of bolt as long as it fits but what about the bushing that goes around it?

For the bushing you'll have to contact whoever made your arms. They aren't always stock-sized.

sawzall it off and get the bolt from honda or junkyard. youll need to get a new arm too.

and damn that shock bushing in the left side of the first picture is horrible looking too.

more evidence that aftermarket control arms are just crap. pure crap.

get a new oem arm.

x2, I heard a lot of people hating on the blox racing lower control arms but I haven't had any problems with them as of yet.

lol. F7 is in a class of its own. if you needed me to clarify that, then you simply arent paying attention or are new here. and everything else is just crap.

heat works wonders. i would say cut the bolt, then get a new bolt to replace.

you just have to watch out for the bolt being seized into the bushing sleeve.

^^ that, heat really does help. So does pb blaster,knocker loose.

When this happend to my friend and I, My dad was able to cut the bolt off, then we just replaced the bushing. (It was oem arm, and we were in the process of installing Poly bushings.

I didnt say Skunk2 but their new bushings are pretty good.

Why would they be different sizes? I would think they are all the same because of the OEM rear shock and the civic's gen. BTW, my LCA's are from blox

Why would I need a new LCA just replace the bushings, no need to spend extra $

Yeah thats what the mechanic said he would do (heat it up) and also thought that the bolt might already be seized into the bushing sleeve

You'd think, but that's not the case. By all means, buy a new OE bushing and let us know the results.

Blox bushings are smaller. OEM bushing will NOT fit without modification.
Buy oem control arms, blox are junk

1. blox does NOT use an OE sized bushing. just the ID matches.

2. blox is crap. just look at the other bushings.

3. its already seized to the inner sleeve. thats why the head broke.

Ok, does anybody know the model number of the bushings because in ebay I found them to be Model# BXSS-20206 and this website http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo....BLX-BXSS-20206 sells them the same but it says they are only to be used with LCA# BXSS-20204, which are the same model# of LCA that I found for all 6th gen civics (at least '99-'00 not sure about '96-98') but I'd like other opinions if there are any, thanks in advance HT people.

What did Blox say when you called them?

96-00 civic LCA's are the same, I would find it very odd if blox had different part numbers for them.

Have you tried calling blox?

I havent called blox yet, it was late last night so I just did a lil quick research and the bushings and LCA numbers are the ones and only ones I found, but i"ll hit them up rightnow and let u guys know for future reference for those of you that have blox LCA's

EDIT: after the call, the blox representative said those are the only 2 model numbers for an EK:
LCA model #: bxss-20204
Bushings model #: bxss-20206

Here is the info for the EG:

Would anti-sieze at installation help with future removals? If OEM-original, I see that not being helped.

yes. but if you use the proper bolts and inner sleeves for the bushing you should have problems with it seizing to the sleeve

I always put anti sieze on the bolts. I haven't had any issues besides the usal bolt just not wanting to brake loose.
