Alignment Specs Explanation/Decryption
I took my 2001 Honda Accord EX 4cyl sedan out for an alignment today after having 4 new tires put on. I knew my front toe was way out because both front tires were almost down to the steel belt on the inside shoulder. No fancy suspension, plain old stock parts.
Here is my spec print out sheet from the shop:

Do these numbers look right or should I go back for a second opinion? Also, the alignment template shows it is for a Honda Civic, same year but not for an Accord? Does it matter or is it the numbers that count?
Many thanks in advance

the alignment guy is and idiot or just plain lazy....selecting the wrong car will give you wrong specs to align the car to.
however....front toe from a civic to accord will probably be the same....spec should be 0 and it looks like he adjusted the front as close to zero as possible so it "might" be ok as is.
but the rear toe will be different.....without having the right specs you could wear out your new tires quicker than normal...
IMO if they up-sold you an alignment because they said it was a good idea since you are putting on new tires i would take it back and make them do it correctly with the right car info entered into the machine.

I've recently replaced the front struts, front UCAs, rear UCAs, all 4 wheel bearings and stabilizer links on both axles. If I understand correctly there isn't a real way to adjust the rear suspension besides replacing worn parts(struts/ball joints/bearings/etc), or is the subframe adjustable? I'm just wondering how he adjusted the rear and if it will wear evenly like before or not.
I will call them first thing tomorrow and let them know about the civic vs accord specs they used.
Thanks for the reply!
