Default Alignment Q's

I have a 94 Integra RS. Right now my car is slammed and eatting threw tires like a **** of course due to the camber. I'm going to be buying a camber kit for the front and rear adjustable UCA's for the front and adjustable in the rear. Right now I am running 15'' rims with 195/50/15 but I bought some new rims at are 16'' and I will be running 205/40/16. I wanna get a alignment ASAP but I am wondering if I should wait to get the alignment when I get tires for the 16''s. Does it matter I get the alignment while I have the 15''s on and then put the 16''s?

you can get the alignment with the 15"s. everything should stay the same unless you go with some crazy offset wheel...it still would not make much difference. and its most likely the toe that is eating your tires.

Is it a waste getting the camber kit? Is there anything I can buy so that it will help make my tires last longer? Also the rims are 16x7 +40

Depends if you want camber or not.

More camber = better handling/cornering
Less camber = better straightline/traction

And camber doesnt wear your tires out, toe in/out is what kills tires

My car is my daily I don't use it the track so I could care less about the while less or more camber. I just want to have the toe fixed I guess? Is there adjustable toe kits for the front of the car or just the rear?

Toe is adjustable front and rear, stock. No reason to buy anything for toe adjustment.

In fact, the "toe kits" for the rear introduce all kinds of issues, as they allow the toe link to end up longer on one side than the other, and to change the total length of each, which changes the toe curve.

the camber kit is worth the money. you just have to set it up for your driving habits. if you take turns fast then leave more negative camber in it. if your more of a conservative driver then closer to 0 is where you want it. and a good alignment shop helps.

i know a lot of people will say its not worth it, but kits now days are pretty cheap. so you decide

I (and many others) disagree with that. Camber kits on the front of Integras reduce available suspension travel, which is something that a lowered car needs all that it can get and something an Integra is lacking to begin with. Dented shock towers and a crappy ride quality (when the UCA crashes into the shock tower) are the common result of running one.

And you never want close to 0 camber, unless you're building a full time drag car. The car came with -1* of front camber from the factory for a reason.

i did not say set it to 0 camber. i said closer to 0. for example... my buddy's integra had about -3.75 without the camber kit. we put the camber kit on and its now at about -2 camber.
that 1.75 degree lets you use a lot more of your tire fro every day use.

we have not had a clearance problems with this car. it is a dc2 with a skunk 2 camber kit

the answer is to fix your TOE. thats the problem that leads to bad tire wear. not camber. you can adjust toe front and rear by stock. no need for any kind of kit... just go to an alignment shop and tell them you want the toe adjusted. if they say they cant get your camber to spec, then tell them, "ok, just do the toe."

i would say a camber it is a waste of money if simply fixing tire wear is your issue. get one if you want to adjust your camber for other reasons. but dont get it for wrong and ignorant reasons.
