Re: camber kit & alignment ?
No you do not need a front camber kit, For the rear that is called negative camber which is 100% normal and ok on a lowerd car.
You will need to adjust the camber arm to get the tire to be flat, however, because you are runing 205-50's you may rub if you do this.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
so if i bring to get alligned its possible to adjust the front good so the inner tire part wont get bald with out the camber kit..
and for the rear im going to rise it a lil more than the front

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
well yes and no, you can adjust the toe, which is the real killer of tires, camber will wear them but not very fast, however a little bit of camber and toe will really mess your **** up.
Camber is only adjustable with camber kits on civics. The only time i would ever buy a camber kit is for the rear, I would never use on front. Take it in and have the toe set to as close to 0 as possible.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
the only reason to get a camber kit is if you want more negative camber. tell your alignment guy you want zero toe front and rear.

if your car is lowered more then a 1.5. Then I would suggest front camber kit. I mean if you care about even tire wear. The rear camber can be adjust when getting an alignment.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
Lowering your car 1.5 inches will hardly cause any negative camber, useing a camber kit in front will cause you to loose clearence, meaning your upper contol arm may hit the strut tower.
camber IS NOT adjustable front or rear without a camber kit, PERIOD!
I know many people runing 3 plus degrees of negative camber with normal tire wear, myself included.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
i lowered my car on springs 2.5 drop in the front and 2.25 in the back,
it was sitting on 14in rims with 185 60 r14 tires, then i bought some rotas (205 40 r16) and then you could really notice the rear camber, so i now have a rear camber kit but was wondering do i need an aftermarket toe kit?

BS. What? read his first post again and read my post again.
First of all he did not say how much drop he has. Which if slammed, I'm pretty sure camber kits are needed. Read his post again. He said he had rear camber kit and alignment shops can adjust. I was just giving suggestion. So please read before you post and assume things.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
No, you DO NOT need camber kits!!!!!!!!
Camber WILL NOT chew up the tires, only if it's combined with toe setting outside of zero. Tires rotation done at 4000-5000 miles will slow what little tire wear that would occur. Stop passing on erroneous information.
The term slammed is subjective. Slammed to you might be 3"+ inches while slammed to someone like my father is 2". In either case camber kit is not necessary, only toe.

Wow, Thanks for the info. I guess all the companies that make the camber kits are scammers. I just got screwed. Which I would have seen this earlier.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
Camber kits are mainly designed for enthisiast/racer/tuner to be able to accurately dial in their camber for performance. Not many people who lower their car buy camber correction kits.
Know how many drop springs, sleeve over and coilovers sales I do a month where the buyer adds ANY correction kits? 2 out of 20.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
You do not need a camber kit, and if you need to correct something in the rear, you can just do the washer trick (search for it). My car is lowered around 3" and I have never run a camber kit in my life. My current tires have 31k miles on them, and yes, I do have some inner wear, but nothing crazy. Just get an alignment as others have said and you will be fine.

Re: camber kit & alignment ?
lulz I happened to see this thread on the H-T front page so I poked my head in here to see if the correct info is being posted, and indeed it is.
No you do not need camber kits to prevent excessive tire wear. What most people think is camber wear is most often actually toe wear from excessive toe-out up front (Hondas will toe out when lowered). Unless you have super-thin tires like 205/40's, you shouldn't have any problems after a simple alignment to correct the toe.
And yes toe is adjustable from the factory. If any shop tried to tell you they "can't" align your car unless you get aftermarket adjustable components, tell them to pound sand and leave immediately because they're either a) idiots b) lazy or c) crooks just trying to sell you more stuff.
