ABS code 48?
95 Honda Civic EX
I just put my stock spring on for the winter. Rite after that the ABS light came on. I took it back to my work and checked it out. Everything looks fine.
So I hook up a scaner to it. Code 48 = LR ABS sencor/line.
After looking at it. Everything still looks fine. How do I know where it went bad?
Looking at this diagram, I still can't see a sensor.

from what i know inside of the cable is 2 wires... if your car was super low b4 and you put it back to stock height.. it could have strach the wires from being to low. it happend to me friends integra that had air bag.... i have a few abs senors let me know i can hook you up for cheap... i remove my abs outta my gs-r and kept the senors
I've been screwing with this same problem all day. Here's what I suggest. Code 48 is the left rear wheel sensor. If you fold down the rear seat and remove the spare tire cover, you will find a two conductor wire coming out through a rubber gromet, from the under side of the car. This is the wire from the left rear wheel sensor. Near where it comes through the body, there is a plastic Honda connector. Press on the release and disconnect the connectors. Use a reliable ohm meter and check the continuity between the two wires coming from the wheel sensor. It should be 1240 ohms. Mine was only 894 ohms. Anything less than 100 probably indicates a bad sensor (and $130 bucks plus a no fun job replacing it). I noticed the two connector halfs were loose so I cleaned all connections with contact cleaner, then tie wrapped the two connector halfs together and my ABS light went out and has stayed out. Good luck.
