Heading down to tampa in early april and staying for a week. Only plans are bushgardens and spending some time at the beach...any suggestions on places to see or restarants or bars? Any suggestions would be great..thanks.

I was into skateboarding when i was in my teens, but just turned 28 and cant turn wrenches at work with broken bones.
But i hear alot of this ybor city. Might check it out.Does clearwater beach have alot of patio bars near by or right on the beach?

Thanks for all the feed back, good to know the best spots from you local guys. I have been to the casino a couple years back as it was the closest from our stay in Orlando.Best beach?? any suggestions?

 

hard rock has been upgraded since then. clearwater is best or if ur willing to drive, anna maria island is better and more peaceful. about an hr and 30 mins or so.

 

Clearwater Beach is for sure the nicest beach around and it's only a 30 min drive from Tampa. There are a few bars right on the beach, like Frenchy's and Sheppards and a few others on the south part of Clearwater Beach. If you're looking for entertainment though, I wouldn't go to Busch Garden, I would take the hour and a half drive and go see Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, some pretty good rides there.

 

went to universal islands of adventure in 2010. But im pumped for some drinking on some patio bars in clearwater.
Is there any drag tracks near by that would have any events? or even a test and tune day. Went to orlando speed world last time down.

 

When I used to live down there between 1998-2003 I wasn't much into the car scene, so I dont know where the tracks are, but I'm sure there's one pretty close by. Also, being Canadian maybe you could go see a Lightning game, I'm sure you could find cheap tickets.

 

Turns out im one of the strange ones here in canada who doesnt give a **** about hockey. Going way to far to see guys fly around on ice with sticks.
