How difficult is it to redo your VC? I've read that all you have to do is take it off, paint, then put it back on. Another thread i've read that you need some hondabond and a new VC Gasket

Take it off, spray with aluminum aircraft stripper, clean thoroughly, primer it, lay down color, clear it, reinstall using new valve cover gasket (new gasket is optional, but they're so cheap, why not?)

Re: (sh!tsWEAK!)
yea really, I think a whole valve cover gasket set (new gasket, gromets under nuts and spark plug gromets) is only around $20. If you dont want to do that just put some hondabond on the corners and **** of the old VC gasket. Make a thin even layer all around if you want to make sure it seals... I was going to just leave this VC stripped with no paint, but I have parts that dont want to come off right, so I'm gonna sand it some and prep it for a badass color very soon.
when I painted mine army green, all I did was clean the **** out of it with a wire brush and some brake cleaner and hosed it off and let it dry in the sun. Sprayed it with aerosol paint and it never peeled at all until I sprayed this acid on it. lol

I was shocked at how well it rides. It rides better than my civic with the stiff k sports. I am very pleased with the daily commute in it. The trunk looks good too.
