Default turboing a D17A2

I have a Max Rev turbo kit @ 6-7 psi, vortec FMU, and the A'pexi S-AFCII for an 03 civic ex. When I put it on, will have a problem with fueling and detonation without any other modifications? A guy at a performance shop told me that I will need a "Guardian" to keep the engine from getting messed up by detonation and other fueling problems. I am just wondering if this is accurate and if I will need anything else to keep my engine running smooth with a long life? Any info on turboing my 03 civic ex will be greatful.

There's a turbo EM2 at my school, but I never manage to catch the guy out at his car between classes. I'm still stumped as to how a returnless fuel system works out with FI.

there is a turbo kit we fixed, was on an '02 or '03 but it has 2 additional injectors with a separate driver. i dont think an FMU will work on a returnless fuel system. i am actully prett confident that it will not work. you need to read into it a little more. check the FI forum.

since the fmu pinches a return line and you dont have one it might be hard to use your vortech fmu

the fmu came with the kit. I figured something was strange when I couldn't find a return line.

so larger injectors are a must to deliver more fuel? I wonder if I could use the injectors from a b series motor?

not larger, you might want to look into a pair of supplimental injectors like rev hard used to use.

do you think the stock fuel pump will be able to keep up with larger injectors or will I have upgrade my fuel pump too? do you know what the civic you fixed did about detonation. I'm pretty sure that the knock sensor and the computer controlled timing will adjust for it but I don't want screw up my engine.

here is a post on a 7th gen forum
by the looks of it they have made it a return style fuel system with another pump. but it doesnt say anything about plumbing.
