Hey I live in Chattanooga,TN and I was wondering if anybody around here knew of any good engine builders? Im willing to travel just dont want to travel that far maybe ATL or somewhere like that.... Just let me know.....

 

I'm looking sorta too. I was into Datsuns and Sunbelt performance which is now next door to Balanced Performance here in ATL was well respected. I don't know about their rep with Honda motors though. I had a 2.8 L Datsun Z motor blue printed in the 80's and they did things like aligned bored, boring an honing block with a torque plate to simulate a head being toqued down, matchced pistons to cylinders and rod and main bearings to crank and pistons. I worked with them. They did the mahcine work and I dead the heavy lifting (complete disaasembly including removing galley plugs) and they did the machining and blue printing. Worked out well. This was a street motor built for 20+ psi turbo tom custom turbo setup.

 

i live in m'boro and i am building my own motor. i am going to do the swap in about 1 month and let you know how it runs. i am doing my own port and polish and a machine shop in my town did all of my work but i am really pleased.
