Does D16z6 Oil pan fit on D15 motors?????????????? NEED FAST CONFIRMATION

Just wanted to make a confirm answer on this because there is something i heard about oil pick up fitment issues............so whats the answer guys?????

pretty much any d series oil pan from 88-00 will fit; the pick up is just different, but can be modefied to fit.

You want to make sure the oil pickup doesn't touch the bottom of the pan otherwise the vibration will brake it off. Then you get instant oil starvation and boom.

this is what i want to know, i know that d16 and d15 parts some of htem are interchangeable but are the good enough to funstion right, well still want to know about the oilpickup clearance and fitment issues

jdm d15b oil pan WILL NOT fit a d16y8 or similar. Ive tried. This might help? OREO.. good luck tho

Recently read a thread in regards to a d15 oil pan on a d16, the guy stated someone told him the d15 would work, but was currently having nothing but troubles with oil leaking from the oil pan.

If I can locate the thread before I leave, I will post it here for you to view.

You should be able to derive enough information from this post, if not IM soccerking 3000 from the first thread as he was going to attempt this, given that the two particular oil pans were interchangeable.

cool, remember its about trying to fit a D16 oil pan on a D15 motor which the motor came out from a EG also

D16 oil pan to D15 motor

not D15 oil pan to D16 motor = no not this topic/question
