Religous argument around here.

Your primary choices are,

good 'ole Dino 10w30 (don't use synth)
Honda MTF

Your other Choices are,
Some other 70w80 Gear Oil (Redline, etc)
GM SynchroMesh with or without the "Friction Modified" label

I suggest one of the first two until you're comfortable with everything, then do a search on "GM Synchromesh" and read the many myriad arguments on the subject.

Well right now I'm running 80w90 I believe. Should I drain it out? Remember this is for LSD TRANNY

80w90 should be fine that's closer to Redline MT-90.

You're running an OEM Helical LSD. It doesn't affect your oil. Clutch LSDs sometimes require an additive.

in the honda serivce manual, it says you can use 10w-30 in place of honda MTF if its not available. i dont know if it applies to LSD tho....

:edit: i just checked the helms for teg's. its says to use 10w30 or 10w40. it doesnt even say use honda MTF. wierd.

If you have a Clutch type LSD like the one's that came with some JDM B16's you should only use CUSCO LSD Fluid or KAAZ LSD Fluid. If you have a Helical LSD then you should be fine with Honda MTF.

Torco makes good stuff too.. as well as a LSD additive for the tranny fluid. torco knows how to make power trust them.

Honda MTF basically is motor oil and it is just like 10W-30 motor oil, NOT gear oil!
