Default civic si

i wrecked my eg a few months back, now im currently getting ready to purchase a si. the si im looking at is a 2000 with 49k miles. thats alot of miles on a 2000 and im worried, but the car has been certified and it has no scratches or dings. my question is in the long run will i need to do an engine swap so i can apply a turbo kit. can a turbo kit be applied with an engine running 90k miles. or with 49k miles is it still condsidered new? when does a engine with a turbo wear down?

if you take care of it, it should run to 200k on a turbo. just make sure you do everything right. dont overboost, make sure you have a good fuel supply, dont run it to the red at every stoplight. good oil etc etc

miles are fine, as long as the internals check out. do a compression test before you install a turbo kit.

You can always pull a compression test on it to check it out.

If you're looking to do a motor swap or turbo kit, I think it would be better to get a 96+ EK hatchback..They are much cheaper..
