Clutch Help
I've managed to completely destroy my 2nd factory clutch with less than 25K miles on my 2000 GSR. The first one, I'll take responsibility for (dropping the clutch at a red light from 8000rpm with 4 people in the car). The second is just the product of cheap garage using BS parts.
Can anyone recommend a good clutch that won't break me financially? I want something that grabs hard and makes my passengers nausiated from the constant rocking motion.

Don't over-clutch the car unless you're upping power and racing. It's pointless. Your left leg will thank you for not doing it... Plus, with cerimetallics and other "puck" clutches, smooth engagement becomes more difficult.
At most, get a standard "organic" full-face disc with a slightly higher clampload clutch.

This is a very durable clutch package. We use it on everything from stock to 275hp forced induction cars.

I believe that http://www.groupbuycenter.com has some decent prices. You might want to check them out.
Get an exedy if you do a search on it many have said good things on those clutches including myself. Also if you rest your foot on the clutch pedal (like I do) it can cause premature failure

I have an exedy OEM style clutch in mine that I installed a couple months ago. I love it. Close to stock feel but good grabbing power. I was gonna go completely aftermarket (clutchmasters, clutchnet, etc.) but my friend was able to get this to me for $140, so I couldn't pass it up.
I have an ACT street setup on my GSR, and its pretty nice. feel is good, grab is quick yet not vicious like a race clutch. its stood up very well to my abuse this year as well, autocross, track day, street driving. I think its seen almost 15,000 miles already.

I agree with Owen & TypeRDude...ACT HDSS is the way to go for most applications. Strong grab and support up to 276lb/ft, I believe, with a great pedal feel that is comfortable enough for the street.
We have the lowest price around on these kits as well, BTW

How does everyone feel about Clutch Masters? I had a stage 3 CM in my old civic DX and it wasn't too bad. The clutch was total overkill, as I doubt that car pushed even 100hp, but it felt pretty much like stock. (I was young and naive, I had big plans for that civic...then I remembered I had no money left
