If the motor is the same year as your chasis, or newer, all of your correct US smog equipment is connected and functional, no check engine lights, your header and intake have CARB stickers, your VAFC is not showing, and you pass by the number, then yes. Just do a search for BAR, smog, or emissions, there's been numerous threads on this.

Well, if he can't pass SMOG, then taking it to the ref' just to get it BAR'd won't allow him to pass either. They SMOG it too.

You might be able to get away with it. I had a 1994 Del Sol JDM B16A in my 1994 Civic Si. After replacing the cat' and warming it up on my way to the test-only center, I passed SMOG with 00. knock levels.

Ahhh. I see, I see.

But like in my second mention, he can get lucky like I did. Mine was never BAR'd nor were any parts of the motor/drivetrain (especially the IM) replaced with USDM parts.

How do you get bar'd? In colorado they don't care about swaps as long as it passes all the #. Also how do you get the stickers for the intake and header? Pretty much everything else is conected and running fine. No codes no check engine light.

The headers is a dc 4-1 and intake is the J's racing copy. In colorado we don't need the stickers at all.
