Hey all, well here’s my review of the weekend / week at Autosalon and the events leading up to it.
Enjoy the 700 odd photo’s that were taken over the weekend.. I have some video’s but MEh there huge like 200mb in size ill see what I can do with down sizing em.
http://blkcrx.hondata.com.au/b...x.htm is where you will find the pics !
Thursday Afternoon I needed a new clutch for BLKCRX, so I flew up to Sydney quickly to collect it, and spent Friday morning with Vin from RazzTech installing the clutch… good to see this clutch holds the power, thanks to Jim from Online Performance for heads up on the clutch, same clutch that there using on there 8-9sec Orange CRX.
With the new twin plate clutch installed thanks to Vin @ RazzTech it was time to hit the Dyno again to hit the car up for more tuning. Unfortunately Docklands STi was out of the option due to Vin’s Racing Accident, So I had the Old BGT team meet up with Craig and the Team from Genesis Racing, tuning my car late into the nite preparing the car for Autosalon. Huge thanks to Craig and the guys at Genesis, you guys ROCK.
I sadly missed out on setting up the MCCR club stand Friday nite due to being on the Dyno Late Friday nite, so sorry to all the guys waiting for me at the expo building, but we fixed everything up Saturday morning in time before the doors opened.
Huge thanks to Rory, Mark, Damo, Julie, Tina, and all the Crew who helped Friday / Saturday, and the DJ’s + numerous helpers / volunteers Promo girls who helped me and MCCR over the weekend. Also without the Help from G Tech Pro, Delfi Gauges, and 104 Octane boost we could have never pulled it off… thanks Andrew !!!!
Saturday proved to be a very long day, but it was unreal, and Sunday proved to be huge success wining the FWD Dyno comp and also “Look What He’s Done To the Engine Bay” trophies.
We were running 25.5psi of boost at 9850rpm on our last run maxing out the speed of the Dyno, grrrr at the Dyno speed limit, final result was 400.00kw on the dot (Dyno Graph Print out result)… we so wanted to rev more… but yeah the Dyno wouldn’t let us.. and 3rd gear just produces 2 much wheel spin… DOH
The 1st Dyno run I remember we lost traction hardcore doing a burnout on the dyno.. I soo hope someone has that on video !!! I remember smelling burnt rubber from inside the car.
Thanks again to everyone esp RazzTech who were involved with MCCR and my car over the years, there’s 100’s of people I could mention.. but meh lack of sleep over the last 5 days has made me crazy…then again I’m always crazy !
Now its time for new suspension ! a few other new toys….. more boost and back on the track to race !!!!! something which I haven’t done in over 1.5 Yrs doh..i scared the **** out of my self last nite driving home on the freeway after Autosalon…
ADD 17% to Aust HP figures to = US HP Figures !

Enjoy !!!
Regards James

Sorry if I missed it in your post but what kind of intercooler is that? It looks a little small for the amount of power your pushing through it. Obviously it's doing it's job because of the numbers your putting up, just wondering....

Wow, we just told this person to ditch the 30 degrees.

Since they aren't in the USA, they probably have 140 octane at the pump.
Fuggin beautiful though. I love the indash Hondata.

It is small, look at the inlet temps. 90 celsius is almost 200 degrees fahrenheit.
NVM, I looked at water instead of air, D'oh! 46 celsius = 115 fahrenheit, so that's not too bad.
