im trying to replace my cam seal on my b16. i have the valve cover off and that plate that goes over the cam with the 10 12mm bolt off. but i can't get the cam cap off? how do i do this? i need it done tonight thanks

i can't get it off!! what is holding it on? i don't have to remove v-tec solenoid do i?

 

should i try knocking it with rubber mallet or pulling with channel locks?

 

To get off the cam cap all you do is take out the bolts...then tap it gently with a rubber mallet or the handle of a hammer or something to loosen it. Theres a sleeve on the bottom of the cap that goes into the head...just tap it on each side a few times and it should come off. When you put it back on just hand tighten it...its easy to break off those cam bolts. Good luck.
