i was just curious to hear what you guys think of the flameproof coating from vht. i know that its not going to be as good as a coating from jet-hot. i also know that it is a different process (spray on versus chemical bonding). but do you think it is a 'next best' option for the budget builders? lemme know what you think.

 

its good if you dont drive the car...mine lasted a couple hundred miles before it started peeling off

 

From what I hear and have seen if done right that stuff works very well. I've been thinking about it myself for the time being.

i am curious, did you apply it according to the instructions? (clean, prep, prime, paint, cure, paint, cure, paint, cure, etc)

 

i have high temp paint and it looks good for quite awile. It last forever how long until the manifold rust through. i did prep and cure correctly though...when i didnt it peeled like in the first couple days.
