I am soooooo close to installing my turbo i have all the parts all set up to go in......BUT....my obd2 now converted to obd1 car is not liking my ecu seeing that it is in limp mode with a solid CEL. I have uberdata which unfortunately most people on this site are unfamiliar with, but believe me i have been searching and posting like a mad man on everysingle forum there is. All my soldering has been checked out and is flawless. Im using a romulator, tried both pull hard and pull soft settings, says it loads the bin and varifies ok. Im using a map from gimpy as a base just to get the car running so i know i can tune. Ive tried uberdata 1.63 1.66Blake 1.66wootwoot and 1.7 beta unchecked misc. options and checked all misc options....NOTHING GETS IT OUT OF LIMP MODE. Idle is at 1500 and it wont go over 4,000rpm. I might burn a regular chip and see if it works. Does anyone know if theres is a way to check my conversion harness out to see if it is the problem? Any one?

 

i know nothing about uberdata, so i can't help you there. but i thought i should ask this seemingly obvious question: have you pulled the CEL code?

 

how did you convert obdII to obd I and how much did it cost you?

 

you can buy a harnes that will do that for you, but don't really get into unless you know what your doing. as you see later on there can be problems that arise.

 

Well heres the thing, with the ecu running as a stock p28 i get code 22 vtec pressure switch, but when i run it as a chipped ecu with uberdata i get a solid CEL.
