Default B20/Turbo or Ls/Turbo?

Well I have searched all recent topics and have came close, but nothing has quite answered my question.

So I am selling my gsr hatch and want to go darkside with an integra boosted. I was origionally going to put a K motor in, but with limited funds these are my options.

Ok so I want to keep the internals stock, So would the Ls be a better bet due to its thicker sleeves? I want reliability because thats all I have gotten from my gsr and I love that.

Also how much power can I extract safely with the ls stock internals and will it be better than my 184whp, 130wtq gsr motor w/stock internals as well?

Thanks guys in advance

I vote LS because I'm making over 300hp on race gas and still have great compression and very little leakage, I've ran it for almost a year now, tuned with hondata, with out tuning forget long term reliability. I run 20 psi on 112 octane on a 54 trim 63 a/r., Never pulled off the head original head gasket and everything.

This winter I'll build it and run 25 psi on a big turbo....

Also, Should I go with an obd1 motor or obd2? B/c obd1 respond better to add-ons, but also have more mileage and the valve cover has a lego block pattern which I hate. Or could I get the obd2 and get teh conversion or is that too much of a hassle and money?

Who the hell voted for the B20? LS/Turbo will defintely be safer than a B20/Turbo. Oh and slap a vtec head on there too... LS/Vtec turbo.

Nahh, I have a gsr now, but i am fine with 300hp on a internally stock motor. **** I am impressed by 184whp, 130tq on my gsr motor in my hatch.

All-motor-b20
F/I-b18b

Simple as that. LS motors respond better to boost and last longer(overall) than b20's. Stock b20's don't like boost.

I could, but I am in a good situation. My mom is going to pay for the teg with a car loan and then I can use whatever I sell my car for towards parts. Well that is after I pay for school.

if u boost it make sure its tuned. i have a friend that had a ls stock internals make 400whp @ 20 psi but it was finely tuned. boost is fun but isnt the most reliable route on the other hand i have friends that have been turbo without problems for years...

True, same with me and my gsr hatch now.

What turbo did you go with? I was thinking about rev hard.
