I got the same problem, but, if I kinda jiggle the car after it's been running for a few minutes, the light will go off. Jiggle the car as in kinda drop the clutch a little higher RPM than what you are suppossed to be at, or lower RPM. It's a loose sensor that is located in the council, so I've read here on H-T.
2 things trigger that light. Low brake fluid & the handbrake lever.
If the brake fluid isn't low, unplug the wires going to the brake fluid reservoir. If that makes it quit, then you've got a flaky float switch. Clean it, that might help; otherwise get a new one.
If it's not the brake fluid float, then take apart the console. The switch for the handbrake lever is on a little bracket. Maybe it's bent so the lever doesn't press on it properly.

I would not go randomly unplugging things. They are meant to trigger the warning lights for a reason. Unplugging a sensor or switch would only be a ghetto-rig fix, instead of fixing the actual problem.
Perhaps the parking brake mechanisms on the rear calipers are a little sticky? Might want to check that out, or the actual switch under the console like Jim mentioned. Fix or replace it, though, don't just unplug it just to make the light go away.

Take out your brake master cylinder reservoir filter and it will stop.
