boosted f22 or h23
ive got an f22 and an h23 and im planning on boosting one of them this winter, my question is, whichone would you use?
f22= Iron Sleeves + low comp,
but its Sohc
and there fore less power to begin with
but it will hold more boost
h23= Dohc
+ Not too high comp
, which is goood for low end power,
but it doesnt have iron sleeves
and the compression isnt the best for boost,
so i wont be able to run high psi
, but its got more power from the get go
I was looking into putin the h23 head on the f22, but after searching a little bit It seems like it s not gonna work
thanks

anyone want to add any?
thanks

stock for stock theres a decent amount of power difference, but i think ive decided to use the f22 block and run the h23 head and IM, and boost with a 14b, and then later maybe around next winter, I can buy an h22 crank and throw on some forged rods and pistons, without having to resleeve the block
, plus if I break something on the block f22 are cheap, very cheap

u should just boost the f22 as is. It will love u for it. save the money involved with running the h23 head on the f22 and put it towards ur build of the h23 or just cash for a bad day

yeah, itll a cheap setup, but ive already got every thing the h23 head swap, exept the aebs head studs. so im definetely get gonna do that, i know that the 14b is little but i know someone with a 14b on an h22 and its stays pretty strong untill redline, im not looking for crazy #'s
