I need to pull both the motor and trans to do work on them both..

I got to scopeing it out before i get working on it, the motor/trans assembly wont cone straight out because the tranny will hit the frame on the passenger side

Has anyone puled the whole assembly before, if so, what did you do?

 

it will all come out just pull the axels unhook the exhaust unhook the shift linkage unplug the wires on the shock towers unhook the gas line going to the fuel rail unhook the radiator hoses pull the radiator unhook the throttle cable, clutch cable or hydro line the brake booster vacuum and anyother vacuum lines....hookup the motor hoist pull off the mounts there is 3 bolts that goes to the back bracket when you pull off all the mount bolts lower the motor some to pull the tranny mount out and up then pull the motor out.

next time it will help to include the cars you r working with.

 

yeah drop that thing through the bottom its a lot easier

 

A buddy and I just got done pulling my motor and tranny out the top. You do have to tip the motor but it comes out just fine.
