Default Twin Turbo Prelude???

My friend told me that there has never been a twin Turboed prelude.(2001)
So i wanted to know if this is true or not.

He currently has a 2001 SH Turbo. He is doing about 12.9 at 12psi with stock tires and suspension. Wat he is telling me that he wants to be the first to have a twin turboed prelude, and the kid has money so i know he'll do it.

But wat i want from you guys is to help me prove him wrong that there are other twin turboed preluds out there.
Please post pics. THanks.

yea well he already put about 18 grand into the car already cause. The kid has ALOT OF MONEY and see's no end to spending it on his car. $5,000 of that money was to fix his burned piston rings and etc. the first week he got the turbo.

And to help spooling it. he's getting NOS. I Figure that he'll be at least second faster then wat he is now

I've seen pics of a TT Prelude....
Ya'll remember the posting of the Prelude body on a tube-frame w/ a 3.0/3.2 (?) liter motor in it? It was twin turbo.

If you were talking about a TT H22/H23, then it's pointless.

Thats the only thing that said to him was that its a waste of money, but wat else can i tell him to change his ming????

Two smaller turbos will give you more lag than one bigger turbo. And it's just a lot more money, parts, and piping.

If you figure, most TT cars have more than 4 Cylinders. When I say most, I mean, all the well-known ones - Supra, 300ZX, Porsche, etc. That's because the exhaust gases can drive them because they usually have 6 cylinders at least. 2 cylinders for exhaust gases will not spool the turbos properly. You can only drive so much using nitrous to spool the turbos...

very true. One of my friends just pointed out to me that his mechanic is the one putting these thoughts into his head so that he can just waste more money then the mechanic makes more money.

im gonna try to get a pic of his setup later today when i see him.

there's been a TT h22 before. mr. clean did it! so he can't be the first maybe he can be the first street legal tt h22. and i agree with the consensus that it'll prolly be slower then his turbo nos setup he has now.

also, ur friend must either love a challeng, or love honda. because from ur info. 18k for mods, roughly 13-18k for the SH alone.. (if he got good mileage one.. that is..) that's about 30-35k.. which he could've gotten any of the "budget" super cars to make better. ex: srt-4, evo, sti, 350, rx8, hell, even a wrx upgraded turbo.

but either way, good **** from his part.

p.s. his mechanic is a jack ***.

If he wants a more powerful turbo set up have him get in touch with me. I've got a custom manifold and T70 turbo set up that spools great and will provide all the power your friend wants. Like everyone said a TT set up is going to hurt a 4 cylinder engines spool and performance, even 6 cylinder engines. A common upgrade for supras is to go from TT to a single turbo for better performance.

He said he had a suprise for me when i see him later. He probably did something else to the car. will update later wit pics

Cool, I'll keep an eye out. TT may sound cool and unique, but it's not going to make him the fastest lude on the streets.

There's only one lude that I know of that his hit the 11s...and it's a 4th gen with stripped interior. 5th gens are just too heavy.

I thought Dwight's 5th gen turbo got into the 11's..the self-proclaimed fastest lude in the east coast. He posted on h-t not too long ago.

That has to be one insecure rich kid. Fine... install four turbos then... nobodys done that. It'll certainly get him attention, but perhaps not the kind he thinks he's buying.

if money was no object and if I were that obscese with the prelude, I'd gut the frame, rotate the engine, and turn it into a rwd prelude. and then put a twin turbo setup on it.

homemadeturbo.com
they built a twin turbo B18. i'm if they can do it to a B it could be done with a H.
if you go to HMT type flat rate B18 in the search bar

If a Turbo upgrade for a 600hp Supra is to swap to one, large efficient turbo, then why would a honda need 2? Unless it is a cylindrically opposed engine, you don't gain out of extra turbos.
