Default D15B7 w/ D16 crank?

Is it possible to put a D16 crank in a D15b7 in order to run aftermarket D16 rods and pistons?

Hmm...good question; couldn't you just swap rods, because I thought the rods themselves made the extra / less displacement between the two motors.

Youre right, but thats the problem, the rods/crank make the extra displacement, and you cant use one w/o the other.

d16a6 -
main bearing journal diameter = 2.1644-2.1654"

d15b2 -
main bearing jounal diameter = 1.7707-1.7718"

d15b7 -
main bearing journal diameter = ? i dont have a book and with dial up i dont have the patience to find an online copy. redpepperracing has an online manual for 92-95. i would guess that the journals are the same size as the d15b2...so your answer would be...no work.
