Thanks this sucks. This is the thing that makes it worst... He had only installed that S/C about 3 - 4 weeks ago and now its running ok but he has a stand alone on the way. Also we both have the same alarm for our cars. But we have both had the problem where the 2 way pager would stop recieveing pages so he called up DEI and they said "send it back and we will replace it" He sent it when? YESTERDAY! The one night had no alarm and his car is stolen. Now I dont know if he has told anyone other than me and my other friend. But this is a crazy coincidence.

 

Was the S/C installled by a shop? If so, I'd be suspicious of them also.

 

I'm so paranoid about my car that I don't even give any shops my current address or phone number anymore.

 

It was installed by my friend himself, but then was taken to InlinePro to have them make sure everything was done properly and to be tuned.

 

this whole thing sounds pretty shady
