Flashing light in ecu

Default Flashing light in ecu
What is the flashing red light in the little window on my ecu. Stock 88 rex. I was thinking that it was a code thing not sure tho. Thanks ahead for the help

Its a code, read the amount of times it flashes. 1 long flash is 10, shorts are 1 and then get back to us. By the way, where sunglasses or else the flashing dot can cause blindness.

Count how many times it flashes, and that's what code you are throwing. Pick up a Helms manuel at AutoZone or similar store. The manuel will tell you what each code means.

15...

ignition output signal...either a short in your distributor wiring, a new ignitor, or a new ecu...
