Default Hear a knock noise when I turn left..

I got a 4th gen lude, when I turn to the left it makes a knock noise also I noticed the car sits a little lower on the driver's side (front). It is not a clack noise like bad cv joints. Could it be the ball joints or a bent lower control arm,the lowr cont arm looks fine though..the ball joint does look worn. Anyone have a similar problem or any additional insight.

Thanks in advance!

Pull the tire off and start looking. Inspect all the joints, control arms, etc. Make sure all the lugs on the wheel were tight. And it very well may be a CV axle.

OK, axles are pretty new..none of the suspension looks bent but anyway I'll probably replace the ball joints..

thanks Ludey

Well a knocking sounds more like something is loose; go over everything first to make sure it was all good and tight before you start replacing parts.

I want to guess it's the ball joint.

Have you toyed with the spring/shock assembly on that side? Make sure the collar is mounted flush with the top of the spring, and that your castle nut and three collar mounting bolts are tight. Maybe you have a broken spring.

Checked all that too,
in comparison to the right side ...all ok

ball joint is kind of crushed..would that explain the drop in height?

Anyway thanks everyone for replies..
