Having 4th gear trouble
I'm having trouble with accelerating in 4th gear. If I try and accelerate in 4th from 4000 RPM's through the 5400 VTEC Crossover, the car hesitates and ultimately can't make the crossover (I'm assuming this is true for 5th gear as well.) I have a costum chipped ECU with Stock Fuel Ignition Tables before the crossover, and aggresive ones after it. What could be causing the incapacity to crossover, maybe the ignition is to advanced, maybe the AFR is to rich as the VTEC tries to kick in, ultimately I do not know, please get back to me with whatever thoughts you have. Thank you.
has it been doing it for awhile? i have a cold air intake on my car and it does it every now and then after it rains from moisture getting in there. if it's something that just started, it could be mosture in the intake (just drive for awhile and it'll go away). if it's been doing it for awhile, it could be a lot of other things.
did it happen after you installed the chipped ecu? if you have the stock ecu then try that one. if it still hesitates with the stock ecu. then check catalytic converter if its clogged.
It's only done it since the chip, and only does it when the chip is in, I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Fuel Ignition Tables, any thoughts?
