Default gear problem

i recently install ats 345 close gears on my dc2 type r, it rev around 4k @ 100km/hr, what can i do to make it more highway friendly?
is it possible to just use stock 5th gear/ how would that effect vtec kick in from 4th to 5th gear? thanks for your help

Put the stock gears back in. Har har. Honestly i think you could get away with a stock 5th without dropping out of VTEC from 4th to 5th.
